The report, which is available exclusively on the ISP’s website, has been prepared to lay down some basic guidelines and good practice to help members.
It seeks to cover:
coupon design and layout
advice on targeting
technological attributes
redemption control.
Key delivery channels covered include pure e-coupons, retailer-specified coupons and print-at-home coupons.
ISP Chief Executive Annie Swift said: “These guidelines are issued as recommended best practice for the distribution of coupons and vouchers online. They will help marketers and their agencies to better understand the challenges of this new medium and navigate quickly through the process to create successful internet coupon programmes.
