Campaign helps charity to record run turnout
Edit this content
A leaflet distribution campaign conducted by door-drop marketing company LinkDirect helped Prostate UK to a record turnout for its Fathers’ Day fun runs in June.

The charity enlisted the help of the Birkenhead-based company after deciding to take its Pants in the Park annual 5km run nationwide, with events held in London, Andover, Bristol, Leeds and Manchester.

LinkDirect delivered a total of 80,000 leaflets and registration forms across the five cities to help publicise the events, with almost 1,000 eventually taking part and £28,000 so far raised for research into prostate diseases.

Brigadier John Anderson, chief executive of Prostate UK, said: “This was the first year we have taken the fun runs out of London and we were absolutely delighted with the response.

“When we were looking for a door-drop marketing company we needed one that could distribute in all five regions, and LinkDirect were the only ones we found who could do that.”

Edward Fulbrook, marketing director at LinkDirect, said: “A leaflet drop was the ideal way for Prostate UK to generate awareness of the Pants in the Park fun runs and we were delighted to be able to help such a worthy cause.”
